Monday, April 16, 2012 at 12:39 PM I love Instagram (@aubreeh) and the filters they have for making my banal photos look oh-so-hipster. My mac and cheese with kale looks positively gourmet in a faded polaroid suit.
PicMonkey is a free website with quite a few different filters you can apply to any photo you want. No registration, no smartphone necessary.
My first try looks pretty good. But then, that kid always looks good.

Thanks to Charles for commenting on Instagram with these words from a Joanna Newsom song.

My uncle and aunt recently bought a new house on a lake. And apparently if you live on a lake, you must have a boat. So now they have a boat. It turns out their dog Rosie loooooves the boat. So the boat's name is SEADOG. It seems only appropriate to write it in all caps, all the time, everytime.
They have big plans for this logo: on the boat, of course, t-shirts, buttons, scarves, I-don't-even-know-what-else. I am waiting patiently for my SEADOG beer koozie to arrive in the mail.
